Chairman Address

Mayor of Butska community
Dear partners, On behalf of the Buky Territorial Community and myself personally, I extend my heartfelt greetings and gratitude for the opportunity to be part of this important initiative — the “Revival of Ukraine” Trade Mission. In 2017, a total of eight settlements became among the first in Ukraine to unite into a strong and forward-looking community with its administrative center in the settlement of Buky. Today, we live in a historic moment, as Ukraine and its communities step into a new reality — one of recovery, development, and integration into global economic processes. Despite all challenges, Buky Community remains a vibrant, resilient entity striving for growth, innovation, and international cooperation.
Our community is rich in natural resources and cultural heritage, but our greatest asset is our people — hardworking, sincere, and open to collaboration. We are ready to embrace new economic opportunities and new forms of interaction with European and global businesses. Participation in this mission is an opportunity to build partnerships and lay the foundation for effective, mutually beneficial cooperation. It is our shared step toward a future where Buky Community is a reliable economic partner, attractive for investors, and welcoming to innovation and sustainable development. With sincere belief in the success of this mission, with respect and best wishes for peace, growth, and partnership — Mayor of the Butska Community – Serhiy Zaliznyak

Butska community
About us
Butska Community is a modern and forward-looking community located in the heart of Cherkasy Oblast. Established in 2017, it unites eight picturesque settlements known for their historical heritage, natural beauty, fertile land, and hardworking population. The community is actively developing and implementing innovations in agriculture, tourism, education, healthcare, public safety, infrastructure, and local governance.
Butska Community is open to cooperation, investment, and international projects. We are committed to creating comfortable living and business conditions, promoting sustainable development, and preserving our traditions and cultural identity.
Natural Resources
Butska Community is distinguished by its rich natural potential, which serves as a foundation for the development of agriculture, tourism, green energy, and environmental protection. The territory is predominantly composed of fertile chernozem soils, ideally suited for agricultural activities. A significant portion of the land is used for the cultivation of grains, industrial crops, and horticulture. There is also available land for the development of organic farming and for investment in the agro-industrial sector. The Hirskyi Tikych River flows through the community, shaping unique landscapes and waterfalls, including the Buky Canyon, one of the area’s key tourist attractions. The water resources are suitable for irrigation, recreational activities, and potentially for the development of small-scale hydropower.
The community is also home to granite formations with both industrial and tourist value. These natural stones can be utilized in construction and the decorative industry. Parts of the territory are covered with forests and natural areas of ecological significance. There is strong potential for the development of eco-tourism, recreational facilities, and green routes. A high level of solar activity in the region creates favorable conditions for the development of solar energy, and bioenergy projects based on agricultural residues are also being explored. Butska Community is committed to preserving ecological balance, using natural resources responsibly, and creating conditions for sustainable development, with a focus on environmental safety and economic viability.
