About the Mayor

Tarutynska settlement territorial community is an administrative-territorial unit in Bolhradskyi district of Odessa region with the center in the village of Bessarabske. The community covers an area of ​​872.9 km² and has 16 settlements, including the villages of Bessarabske, Serpneve, Soborne and 13 villages, including Vynohradivka, Vilne, Kalachivka, Krasne, Luzhanka, Petrivsk, Pidhirne, Prykordonnoe, Rivne, Slobidka, Sukhuvate, Yarove and Yaroslavove. As of January 1, 2023, the population of the community is 21,888 people.

Tarutynska community

Tarutynska community is a multinational region with a vibrant history and hardworking and hospitable people living in harmony. Tarutynska territorial community was established on June 12, 2020 in a process of administrative-territorial reform. The community unites 11 village and settlement councils, in total 16 settlements with a population of 21 373 people. The community's territory covers an area of ​​868.1 km2. Bessarabske village is appointed to be the administrative center of the community.

Tarutynska territorial community of Odessa region is one of the most promising for the development of communities in the region. It has leading positions in attracting investments and developing infrastructure. The people living in the community are united by a common interest to live and to work on their own land. It causes the existence of a strong labor market. We invite all partners for cooperation and mutual benefits.

Geography & Logistics

Tarutynska community

Tarutynske is a village in the south of the Odessa region in the historical location of Budzhak, Southern Bessarabia. The village is located on the Anchokrak River flowing through the medium-crossed steppe area. It borders the Republic of Moldova and is located near the border with Romania, an EU member country. Proximity to the largest sea trade port of Ukraine in the city of Odessa makes trade communications strong and easy.

The territory of the community is crossed by the national highways T-16-27 (43 km), T-16-44 (32 km) and by regional (46.5 km) and local (24.5 km) highways. As well, railway station Soborne (Berezine) is located in the community territory. There are two Ukraine-EU border checkpoints "Serpneve 1 - Basarabiaska", "Maloyaroslavets 1 - Chadyr-Lunga" at the territory of Tarutynska territorial community.

The Tarutynska community has experience in cooperation with foreign programs, in particular the Swiss-Ukrainian project "Decentralization for the Development of Democratic Education" (DECIDE).
