Dubovetska Rural Hromada is a local government community located in Ivano-Frankivsk Raion of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine. The administrative center is the village of Dubivtsi. Covering an area of 1,722 km², the hromada comprises 15 villages: Byshiv, Vodnyky, Voronytsia, Deliive, Dubivtsi, Kinchaky, Kremydiv, Lany, Mariiampil, Medukha, Mezhyhirtsi, Ozertse, Sadky, Tumyr, and Tustan. As of the latest available data, the population is approximately 7,311 residents.

Dubovetska community

Historical Heritage

Dubovetska community boasts an exceptionally rich history that dates back to ancient times:

  • Paleolithic period (80,000–10,000 BC): The first human traces in the community’s territory.

  • 3rd millennium BC: A Trypillian settlement on the Dubovetska Highlands.

  • 1419: The first written mention of the village of Dubivtsi.

  • 1389: The first mention of the village of Tumyr.

  • 1445: The first mention of the village of Kinchaky.

The name of the village Dubivtsi originates from the first settler named Dub. Today’s Dubivtsi is made up of two formerly independent settlements: Dehova (1453) and Dubivtsi (1419).

Military Architecture:

  • Blockhouses defending the Dniester railway bridge – unique military fortifications with no analogs in modern Ukraine.

Dubovetska community is an active participant in the “Opillia: National Treasures” project, implemented by the Department of International Cooperation and Eurointegration of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.

Strategic Goals of the Project:

  • Strengthening institutional capacity in tourism management.

  • Creating a roadmap for effective intermunicipal tourism cooperation.

  • Developing the tourism potential of the Opillia region.

Planned Initiatives:

  • Architectural revitalization project of the former Jabłonowski castle-park complex in Mariyampil.

  • Development of new tourist routes.

  • Creation of innovative digital tourism products.

Economic Development

The community actively works on attracting investment and boosting the local economy:

  • Gasification of villages (first gas torch lit in 2007).

  • Road surface restoration.

  • Modernization of social infrastructure.
