About Us

Kuyalnyck community

The Kuyalnyck Village Territorial Community was formed on July 24, 2017, by merging 18 village councils. It consists of 58 settlements, including two towns and 56 villages. The administrative center of the community is Kuyalnyck village.The area of the community is 916.15 km², which is 2.75% of the territory of Odesa region. The population of the community is 19 263 people.

The community has a unique combination of natural resources, cultural heritage and economic potential. The main areas of development include the agricultural sector, processing industry, alternative energy and tourism. The community's strategic priorities are aimed at creating comfortable living conditions for residents and attracting investments for sustainable development.

Economic potential of the community

Kuyalnyck community

Kuyalnyck community is a leading agricultural region with a strong agricultural base. There are 82 agricultural enterprises of various forms of ownership operating on its territory, which grow grain and oilseeds: wheat, barley, corn, and sunflower. The share of agricultural land in the community is 82%, or 72,721 hectares.

The community is implementing projects to process agricultural products, including the construction of an oil extraction plant with a capacity of up to 1,300 tons per day. Other prospects include the development of livestock farming, quail and snail farms. In the field of alternative energy, it is planned to produce bioethanol and install solar power plants. These areas offer significant potential for investors and job creation.

Logistical advantages

The geographical location of Kuyalnyck community provides it with competitive logistical advantages. Important international and regional transportation routes pass through the community: the M-13 (Kropyvnytskyi - Platonove) and R-33 (Velykomykhailivka - Turbiv - Haisyn) highways. In addition, the community has access to two highways of territorial importance and railway infrastructure, which allows for efficient transportation of goods.

The total length of the community's roads is more than 1,300 km, of which 320 km are public roads and 985 km are communal roads. This transportation network facilitates the development of logistics, fast delivery of agricultural products and integration of the community into national and international markets.

Natural resources and climatic conditions

Kuyalnyck community has rich natural resources that form the basis of its economic development. The community's territory covers 72,721 hectares of agricultural land, 10,000 hectares of forests and 537 hectares of water resources, including six rivers with a total length of almost 100 km. The 936-hectare Valekruch-Negai Park, a monument of landscape art, is an important site for tourism and environmental initiatives.

The community has a temperate continental climate with warm summers and mild winters. These conditions are ideal for growing grains, oilseeds and niche crops. The community is actively working on the rational use and conservation of natural resources, making it an important aspect of its development strategy.

Human capital and international cooperation

The population of Kuyalnyck community is 19 263 people, of whom 13 681 are economically active population. The community's youth are actively involved in the development of the agricultural sector, industry and alternative energy. The high level of qualification of local residents contributes to the successful implementation of new economic initiatives.

The community has experience of cooperation with international organizations such as U-LEAD with Europe, ACTED, UNDP, Cities4Cities United4Ukraine and the NEXT Black Sea Basin Program. This helped attract investment in projects to build solar power plants, rehabilitation and recreation centers, and develop tourist routes. The community also maintains international partnerships with sister cities, which facilitates the exchange of experience and cultural ties.
