About
Terebovlia urban territorial hromada is a dynamic community in Ternopil Oblast with a rich history dating back to 1097. It unites the town of Terebovlia and 25 villages across 444.8 km². The hromada's population exceeds 30,000 people. Established in 2015, the community preserves its principality heritage while actively developing as a modern administrative center.
Natural Resources
The hromada is located in Galician Podillia, in the forest-steppe natural zone with rich chernozem and fertile soils. The territory features a significant forest массив of Terebovlia Forest to the west and north. The Hnizna River provides water resources for agriculture. The moderately continental climate with sufficient precipitation creates favorable conditions for agricultural production and horticulture.
Positioning
Terebovlia hromada positions itself as a historical-cultural and agricultural center of the region. The balanced combination of historical heritage, developed transport infrastructure, and agricultural potential makes the community attractive for investments in processing industry, tourism, and logistics. Proximity to the regional center and EU border opens opportunities for export-oriented business development.
Geography & Logistics
The hromada has its own railway station on the Ternopil-Chernivtsi line with regular passenger service. Road networks connect the territory with Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi. Distance to Kyiv is 460 km, to the regional center Ternopil — 33 km. The nearest EU border crossing point (Shehyni) is located 223 km away. Access to Lviv (130 km) and Ivano-Frankivsk (100 km) airports ensures convenient logistics.
Local Business
The hromada's economy is based on agriculture with a focus on grain crops, potato growing, and livestock farming. Food and processing industries are well-developed. The historical Terebovlia Footwear Factory has experience working with Italian investors. Promising directions include organic farming, agricultural product processing, green tourism, and logistics services.
