Tomashpil Community
About
Tomashpil Community is an active and united community located in the heart of Podillia. Established in 2016 as part of the administrative-territorial reform, the community includes the Tomashpil community and 27 surrounding villages. The total area of the community exceeds 660 km², with a population of approximately 22,000 residents. This is a picturesque region known for its fertile lands, hardworking people, and significant development potential.
We take pride in our natural resources, agricultural foundation, rich cultural heritage, and engaged civil society. Tomashpil is a community of transformation—we are implementing environmentally conscious practices, supporting local entrepreneurs, and seeking partners willing to invest in sustainable development. The community is open to the world and welcomes new ideas.
Natural Resources
The community is located in the Forest-Steppe zone, characterized by a high level of natural soil fertility, particularly chernozems. The rolling hills of Podillia and the presence of river valleys create ideal conditions for agricultural development. In addition to its agricultural potential, the territory of the community contains deposits of construction sand and clay, which are used to meet local needs.
The natural and climatic conditions are favorable for the development of renewable energy—a high number of sunny days per year makes the implementation of solar power stations highly feasible. The community’s extensive green areas and water resources also support the growth of eco-tourism.
Positioning
Tomashpil Community has strong agricultural potential, a hardworking labor force, market access, well-developed educational and healthcare infrastructure, and project experience with international partners (such as UNDP and the Red Cross), all of which make it highly attractive for investment.
The community is actively involved in securing grant funding, building infrastructure for small businesses, and developing tourism. We are not only looking for investors — we are looking for partners to jointly build a new trust-based economy at the local level.
Geography & Logistics
Tomashpil Community is located in the Tulchyn Raion of Vinnytsia Oblast. Its geographic position ensures convenient access to the regional center (Vinnytsia – 95 km), the border with Moldova (approximately 40 km), and the international highway M-21 (Zhytomyr – Vinnytsia – Mohyliv-Podilskyi, 40 km away).
Regional roads run through the community, connecting it to railway branches. The nearest passenger railway station is located in the urban-type settlement of Vapniarka, just 20 km away, while the nearest freight station is in the city of Zhmerynka, at a distance of 94 km. This logistical potential enables efficient transportation of raw materials and finished goods, making the territory attractive to investors seeking fast access to regional and international markets.
Local Businesses
The Tomashpil Community is home to over 500 registered business entities, including a significant number of farms, agricultural companies, trade enterprises, food industry businesses, and household service providers.
