Znamyansk City Council is a local government body representing the Znamyansk urban territorial community with its center in the city of Znamyansk, Kirovohrad region. The community was established on June 12, 2020 and includes the city of Znamyansk, the village of Znamyansk Druh and four villages: Vodyane, Petrove, Novooleksandrivka and Sokilnyky. The total area of the community is 113.1 km², and the population is about 28,234 people.
The city council is actively involved in the development of infrastructure, education, culture and social services, and also implements programs to support territorial defense and national resistance.

Znamyanska communityIrpin was founded in 1899 as a railway station on the Kyiv-Kovel line. The town quickly grew, and by the early 20th century, it was a popular resort destination for Kyiv residents. In 1939, Irpin was granted city status.
In 2022, Irpin was one of the cities that was heavily damaged during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The city was occupied by Russian forces for several weeks, and many of its residents were killed or displaced. However, Irpin was eventually liberated by Ukrainian forces, and it is now in the process of being rebuilt.
