Podilsk community
About Us
Podilsk communityThe Podilsk urban territorial community was formed in 2020 and unites the city of Podilsk and the surrounding settlements: Lipetske, Oleksandrivka and Kazbeky. The total area of the community is 13,690 hectares, and the population exceeds 42 thousand people. Due to its favorable location in the south of Ukraine, the community is an important administrative, economic and cultural center of the region. The city of Podilsk plays a key role in the development of the community. It is a railway junction with a developed infrastructure and a leading center of trade and industry in the north of Odesa region. The community is actively expanding international relations. As part of the all-Ukrainian project “Economic Unions: Strong Communities - Strong Ukraine” project, the Alliance of Southern Podillia was created, which unites 6 communities in the region. The community participated in events such as the international ReBuild Ukraine conference in Warsaw and a conference in Leipzig. Partnerships with cities in Moldova, Germany, Poland, France, and other countries facilitate the exchange of experience in the fields of culture, education, and economy, as well as increase the investment attractiveness of the region.

Natural resources and climate benefits
Podilsk communityThe Podilsk community has unique natural resources, among which fertile black earth soils with high natural fertility play a key role. The community's total sown area is 6,717 hectares, which allows it to grow productive crops such as wheat, barley, sunflower, corn and rapeseed.
The community's climate is temperate continental, which contributes to the development of a diversified agricultural sector: horticulture, berry growing, beekeeping and livestock. Water resources are represented by ponds with a total area of 27 hectares, which support the development of fisheries. The community reserve lands (1,639 hectares) and agricultural land (5,627 hectares) create additional opportunities for investment in the agricultural sector.

Transportation hub and logistics capabilities
Podilsk communityThe Podilsk community is an important transport hub in southern Ukraine, providing efficient communication between Kyiv, Odesa and the Black Sea countries. The community has 8 production units of the Odesa Railways regional branch of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC. These include a locomotive depot, a carriage depot, a track distance, a power supply distance, and other strategic facilities. This allows the community to be a leading center of railway logistics in the region.
Additionally, the community has a customs post “Podilsk” of the Odesa Customs, which expands opportunities for cross-border cooperation and promotes the development of a transport and logistics cluster. The community is located at the intersection of the P33 regional highway and the E95 international highway, which makes it strategically important for transportation and trade.

Industrial parks and the agricultural sector of the community
Podilsk communityThe Podilsk community combines industrial and agricultural potential. Two industrial parks operate on its territory: “Podilsk and Pivdennyi. Podilsk Industrial Park is focused on processing industry (primary and secondary processing of agricultural raw materials) and logistics. The Pivdennyi Eco-Industrial Park is focused on the introduction of innovative technologies and the creation of new production facilities.
The community's agricultural sector is represented by a total sown area of 6,717 hectares, where crops such as wheat, barley, sunflower and rapeseed are grown. Thanks to its fertile black soil, the community develops berry growing, horticulture, animal husbandry and beekeeping. There are also 27 hectares of ponds that contribute to the development of fisheries. The combination of industrial parks and agriculture makes the community attractive for investment and increases its economic activity.

History and tourism: the heritage of the Podil community
Podilsk communityThe Podilsk community is famous for its unique cultural heritage. In the village of Kazbeky, there is an underground monastery built in the early twentieth century by supporters of the Innocent religious movement. The area of the monastery is about 30 hectares, and its corridors reach 2.5 km. The monastery has more than 80 cells, storage facilities, and three underground churches, the largest of which has a 15-meter-high vault.
The community actively cooperates with international partners to promote its cultural potential. In particular, partnership agreements have been signed with the cities of Moldova and Germany, which facilitates the exchange of experience in the field of culture and tourism. Participation in international conferences, such as ReBuild Ukraine in Warsaw, allows the community to present its tourism opportunities and develop local infrastructure.
