Slavuta community

About us

The Slavuta community was formed on 18 September 2018. The number of settlements in the community is 3, namely: the city of Slavuta, the villages of Holyky and Varvarovka of the Shepetivka district of Khmelnytskyi region.

Mission of the municipality: Development of small and medium-sized enterprises by creating favourable conditions for local business, development of labour resources and labour market to provide the community residents with jobs with decent wages and working conditions; Formation of a significant middle class in the community, the presence of which will guarantee the stability of the economy and improve the living standards of all community residents without exception.

Community image

The industrial centre of the northern Khmelnytskyi region: The community has an image of the industrial centre of Khmelnytskyi Oblast; 133 enterprises operate and the Slavuta Industrial Park is open with preferential taxation conditions; The community sets environmental requirements for existing and new businesses on its territory.

Economic partnership: The hromada is a participant in the Mayors for Economic Growth initiative; it is an opportunity to attract additional funding for project implementation and to learn.

Natural resources

3983 hectares of the hromada's territory (more than 55%) are covered by public forests. 70% of all trees are coniferous, the rest are oak, birch and black alder. The annual volume of wood allowed for harvesting is 93.3 thousand m3 (269 hectares).

2 deposits of saponite with reserves of 17.8 million tonnes and 4.8 million tonnes of Tashkivske clay. The water supply source is artesian wells 150 metres deep. Additional capacities are available to supply water for production needs.

Competitive advantages

The community has the image of an industrial centre of the northern Khmelnytskyi region. There are 133 enterprises and the Slavuta Industrial Park with favourable taxation conditions. The community sets environmental requirements for existing and new businesses on its territory. There are no industrial enterprises with a significant negative impact on the environment in the ATC.

Human potential: The hromada has 35.2 thousand residents. 63% of the residents are able to work. The official unemployment rate is 3.2% or 719 people (mostly working specialities). The average salary level is 20% lower than in the oblast centre.

Entrepreneurship in the community

There are 21 medium and 112 small business entities, 1669 individual entrepreneurs operating in the hromada. More than 20 enterprises in the woodworking industry and bathroom furniture manufacturing are concentrated. 20 hromada enterprises are engaged in export activities to the EU countries.

Main export groups: bathroom furniture, other furniture; ceramic sanitary ware; food products; textiles, workwear; basalt fibre.
