Chairman Address

Vasyl Sidko

Mayor of Talnivska community

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen! Allow me to introduce the Talnivska community — a place of rich history, sincere people, and strong potential for sustainable development. In 2020, the city of Talne and 42 surrounding settlements united into a single community. This important step marked a new stage in addressing shared challenges, modernizing infrastructure, and fostering local economic growth. We are actively working to create a favorable environment for investors by supporting entrepreneurship, encouraging innovation, and developing the agricultural sector, processing industry, and service sphere. Particular attention is given to environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources.

The community's geographic location is another advantage — convenient transport accessibility opens up new opportunities for logistics, partnerships, and access to both domestic and international markets. One of our greatest sources of pride is our people — hardworking, proactive, creative, and committed to the development of their native land. We have an active younger generation eager for change and entrepreneurs ready to work toward tangible results. We invite you to cooperate with us and are ready to provide comprehensive information about the investment opportunities in Talnivska community. You can rely on openness, support, and constructive dialogue from our business-friendly local government. Talnivska community is a place for those who seek to grow and thrive together.

Talnivska community

About

The Talnivska community is a space where nature, history, and modernity merge into a dynamic and unified whole. Located in the heart of southwestern Cherkasy region, the community captivates with its diverse landscapes, fertile chernozem soils, and deep historical roots, which are felt in every corner of its territory. At the center of the community lies the town of Talne, first mentioned in the 17th century, home to the magnificent Palace of Count Shuvalov—a true architectural gem and a symbol of noble heritage.

The total area of the community is 916.7920 km², with a population of 30,109 residents, forming a solid foundation for a stable labor market, the development of small businesses, agro-industrial production, and investment initiatives. With a well-developed infrastructure and geographic accessibility, the community has strong prerequisites for the successful implementation of projects in the fields of economy, logistics, tourism, and social services. The origin of the name Talne has several interpretations: one associates it with the Talianka River, another with the word “tal”, which in Turkic languages means a lowland covered with willows. Both versions organically reflect the character of this land—at once gentle and strong, peaceful and full of potential.

Natural Resources

Talnivska community is located in an environmentally clean area rich in natural resources, which supports the development of the agricultural sector and sustainable economic activities. The community is endowed with fertile chernozem soils, ideal for the cultivation of grain crops, industrial crops, vegetables, and fruits. Extensive forested areas supply timber and forest products, while also providing excellent conditions for recreation.

Water resources, including rivers and ponds, particularly the Hirskyi Tikych River, play a vital role in meeting agricultural needs and enabling the development of tourism. The territory also contains deposits of sand, granite, and clay, which are utilized in construction and related industries. This rich natural potential serves as a solid foundation for the growth of agriculture, industry, and the promotion of eco- and agrotourism within the community.

Positioning

Talnivska community is a center of new opportunities, located in the very heart of Cherkasy region.
