About us

Alliance Pivdennoho Podillya

The Economic Union «ALLIANCE OF PIDENNE PODIL'IYA» was established on 22 May 2023 by six amalgamated territorial communities of Odesa Oblast. Balta, Podilsk, Kuyalnyk, Kodyma, Lyubashivka and Okny are geographically located in the historical region of Podillia in southwestern Ukraine.

The region is known for its bright, sunny steppe landscapes, favourable climate and rich history. The territory of the Economic Union has a well-developed transport infrastructure connecting the southern and central regions of Ukraine.

Natural features and resources

Alliance Pivdennoho Podillya

The territory of the South Podillya Alliance is located in the steppe zone with fertile black soil, making it ideal for agricultural production. The Kodyma River and the proximity to the Kuyalnyk Estuary create unique natural conditions useful for irrigation and opportunities for tourism and the development of the recreation and healthcare industry. The climate is temperate continental, with warm summers and mild winters, which favours agricultural development.

Economic potential

Alliance Pivdennoho Podillya

The area has significant potential for the development of agribusiness and food industry, as well as for attracting investment in agricultural processing. The proximity to Black Sea ports and transport hubs such as Odesa makes the region convenient for logistics and exports, which can be attractive to potential investors and partners.

Balta is a city with a rich history, located on the border of Odesa and Vinnytsia regions. Balta was founded in the XVIII century and eventually became an important trade and cultural centre of the region. The community's territory lies on the border of the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. The city is known for its developed agricultural and processing industry. Livestock, crop production and processing of agricultural products are developed around Balta. The natural resources are extremely favourable for the development of renewable energy sources, especially solar ‘green’ energy. The community has mineral resources of sand and clay. The Baltske clay deposit covers an area of 5.9 hectares. The Balta community has identified 12 greenfield and 9 brownfield land plots for commercial and industrial use. Balta invites investors to participate in a variety of projects, from the construction of a brick factory and an oil extraction plant to the construction of residential buildings, nut growing, and the creation of solar power plants.

Podilsk is one of the largest cities in Odesa Oblast and the administrative centre of the Podilska amalgamated territorial community. Geographically, the community is located in the north-western part of Odesa region on the southern spurs of the Podilska Upland, on the watershed of the Yahorlyk and Tiligul rivers. The total area of the community is 13,690 hectares. Land resources are represented mainly by black soil with high natural fertility. In combination with the temperate continental climate, they form a high agro-industrial (agricultural) potential. The natural conditions are also favourable for growing such valuable crops as wheat, barley, rye, sunflower, corn, peas and rapeseed. The total area under crops is 6,717 hectares. The presence of ponds with a total area of 27 hectares on the territory of the community provides prospects for the development of fisheries. The Podilska ATC sees further development in such promising sectors of the agricultural sector as livestock, horticulture, berry growing and beekeeping. The community has a registered industrial park ‘Podilsk’ with an area of 31 hectares, the main industries for which are processing industry, energy production from alternative sources, and logistics.

Kuyalnyk is a small settlement located in an area with picturesque natural landscapes. The Kuyalnyk ATC includes 58 settlements and 56 villages. The Kuyalnytsia amalgamated community has the P-33 industrial park, potential in the processing industry, alternative energy and rural tourism, rich agricultural resources and fertile black soil, and a strategic location with access to transport infrastructure. The Kuyalnyk estuary is known for its therapeutic mud and mineralised waters and the reservoir in the village of Kosy, which makes the region promising for the development of recreational and medical tourism, hotels and resorts.

Kodyma is a town located on the Kodyma River, on the border of the Odesa and Vinnytsia Oblasts. The amalgamated community consists of the town of Kodyma and 20 villages. Kodyma has historically served as a trading centre, and today it is home to agricultural enterprises engaged in the cultivation of grain crops and vegetables. There are 7 rivers and 54 reservoirs with a total area of 180.9 hectares on our territory. The community has a significant number of springs and artesian wells with high quality mineral table water, some of which are close to the famous Borjomi. Therefore, we invite investors to set up enterprises for the production of mineral table water. The area of forest plantations is 18% of the entire territory of the community. 99% of the forests are of hardwood species, the vast majority of which are common oak and common ash. The Kodymska community is rich in mineral resources. In particular, there are deposits of construction sands and limestone on the territory of the community, which can be fully used as raw materials for the production of building materials. Kodyma is known for its cultural events and festivals, and its rich flora and fauna create favourable conditions for the development of tourism and recreation, attracting tourists to the area.
