About us
Poliske PohorynniaThe Poliske Pohorynnia Economic Union was formed on 21 March 2024 by the Slavuta, Shepetivka, Iziaslav, Berezdiv, Hannopil, Krupets and Ulashaniv amalgamated territorial communities. The area in which the cities of Slavuta, Shepetivka, Izyaslav and the villages of Berezdiv, Hannopil, Krupets and Ulashanivka are located is situated in the north-western part of the Khmelnytskyi region of Ukraine. The region has a rich history and is part of historic Volyn. For centuries, it has been a crossroads of cultures and civilisations, under the influence of various states, including the Principality of Lithuania, Poland and Russia.
The geographical centre of the region is a very favourable factor in the socio-economic development of the territory. Its position on the transport routes connecting the main industrial areas of Ukraine (Kyiv, Kharkiv, Prydniprovia, Donbas) and the Black Sea ports with the western regions of Ukraine and the countries of Central and Western Europe is of great importance. The favourable transport and geographical location, together with a large labour force in the context of market reforms in Ukraine's economy, could encourage foreign capital to enter the region.
Cities of the Union
Poliske PohorynniaSlavuta is the administrative centre of the amalgamated territorial community. Founded in the 17th century, it has a rich history associated with the princely Sangushko family. The community's economy is based on industry, in particular woodworking, furniture, ceramic sanitary ware, and building materials. Slavuta is located on the Goryn River, which gives it a special natural beauty and makes it attractive for tourism.
Shepetivka is one of the largest cities in the north of Khmelnytskyi region, the administrative centre of the Shepetivka amalgamated territorial community. It is known for its transport hubs, as it is located on the railway and motorway routes connecting the west and east of Ukraine. Shepetivka also has a well-developed food industry and construction materials production.

Poliske PohorynniaIzyaslav is one of the oldest cities in the region, with a rich history that dates back more than a thousand years. The city was founded in the era of Kyivan Rus. Izyaslav is famous for its historical monuments, including castles and monasteries, which makes it interesting for tourists and historians. It is located on the Goryn River and has a picturesque nature.
Berezdiv, Hannopil, Krupets, and Ulashanivka are located in rural areas of Khmelnytskyi region and have a predominantly agricultural economy. The region is known for its fertile soils, which makes it suitable for agriculture and agro-industrial investment. Each of the settlements has its own history and culture and is part of larger administrative units, such as territorial communities, which contribute to the development of infrastructure and improve the quality of life of local residents.

The climate is temperate continental, with mild winters and warm summers, which creates favourable conditions for agriculture. The Poliske Pohorynnia Economic Union is counting on significant investments, which should come in the form of new production facilities in various industries, investments in the creation of industrial greenhouse complexes, agriculture and agricultural processing, construction of resorts, creation of infrastructure for ecological tourism and light industry. The presence of transport hubs, such as railways and motorways, makes the Economic Union convenient for logistics and interregional cooperation.
